Sonar’s Journal: Our Future – Think Of “Us” As You Vote

VoteWe are on the brink of Ethical Revolution, on the edge of glory, close to the cliff of completion and about to take a dive into the beginning of the conclusion of all preparations.

We the most powerful generation yet are witnessing history in the making, now more than ever our strength should show, now the time has come for us to drive the wheel of progress.

We owe it not just to ourselves but to our children and children’s children to be more hopeful, more resilient, more determined and active. No more should we allow any greedy politician talk any of us into being tools for them against our selves, against our future.

Enough is enough, let’s take this message everywhere, to everyone, in person, by proxy, via media and abroad. It is well overdue and the seat is too hot for us to just sit down and watch while those who think we are stupid greedily gather wealth for themselves.

SOCIAL MEDIA TRAGEDY

It is shameful to see fellow Nigerians abuse themselves on social media, over what and for who? It shows the level of immaturity in choice and tolerance of each other. Those who partake in this dirty act need to have a rethink or a rebirth in thinking, everyone is entitled to their choice and that choice is to be respected if you also want your own choice to be respected.

We need more mature minded people on social media to break the madness each time it starts. I say this without mincing words, the Internet is filled with adult children that speak without using their heads.

We have been warned by fellow Africans from countries with severe conflict not to allow our country Nigeria to become like theirs, they have told us how theirs began, from abusing each other along sentiments of tribal, religious, political and class origins.

Our children will blame us just as this generation blames the previous one of failure. Our children will not forgive us if we sit around and complain like babies without doing anything. The key here is love.

As we all pray for what we already have, that is, Peace, we should have it in mind that peace is a price or call it a reward of love, tolerance, respect for God and fellow humans and their preference, right living, responsible collective lifestyle and so on.

Have it in mind that peace is a price or call it a reward of love, tolerance, respect for God and fellow humans.”

— Sunday Imonah

If a bright future is the goal, then we have no choice, we must as a matter of urgency rise about tribal, religious, political and class blindness in order to see clearly for forward movement to that future we all desire.

For those who have PVC’s yet refuse to vote, they remind me of people waiting for perfect partners for marriage when they themselves are far from perfect. Our journey as a nation to greatness is a marathon not a hundred meter dash, this process needs passion, commitment and unrelenting focus not wishful thinking.

It is my hope and prayer that we will all prove to God that we can still love each other regardless of little differences, that we can all unite and face the future holding hands, believing in one another, believing and trusting God.
